WELCOME TO THE LODGE

When you arrive, you will be welcomed into our completely remodeled historic log cabin. The Tavern’s interior gracefully nods to its rich history. The walls, bar and wooden mantle have been recreated with antique barn wood recovered from a local multi-generational family farm. Framed photos hang on the walls, showing the Tavern through its 100+ year existence.

Here is where you will check in, gather with your group or other guests for meals, drinks or just a chat by the fireplace.

A River View

The patio of our Tavern is a front row seat to the Mighty Missouri River as it bends around majestic towering rocks the same way it has for centuries. Have a seat on our patio with your coffee or cocktail, and take in the picturesque views of the Missouri River and surrounding wildlife.

The Caddis Shack

Another great view from the property can be found in the large multi-season gathering space, we affectionately call The Caddis Shack, in honor of the Caddis fly, a moth-like insect and pattern of choice for fly fishers. This screened-in pavilion has fire pits, ceiling fans and is frequently filled with local live music.

Then and Now

THEN: The log cabin was once named Mountain Palace Tavern, shown here in the 1920s.

NOW: The renovated log cabin is now the centerpiece on the property, which also includes the Caddis Shack, added in 2021, and the 8 guest room cabins.
